Micah Lidberg is an Illustrator from Kansas City, Missouri. Raised in a Baptist family, he began to draw encouraged by his mother who saw drawing as the only way to keep Micah calm and well behaved during the long Sunday services.
He has established himself as the Illustrator of the moment, playing with the trends in international design with originality and eccentricity, balancing between vintage and experimentation, including naturalistic suggestions, experimental typography, a very personal exploration of color and a technical capacity where analog and digital design are inextricably linked.
Micah says he makes his drawings using only a mechanical pencil, sheets of paper and a computer. Lidberg tells us about lush and mysterious worlds, a nature that could come at the same time from an ancestral past or a hypothetical distant future, where nature has taken possession of the land and there are only a few traces of human life, shreds of technology and the echo of his fears.
He is represented by the agency management Hugo & Marie and often collaborates with Nobrow and his drawings have appeared, among others, of Beautiful Decay, Good, and the luxurious Esquire Russia.
